I have not just lost 21KG* but now have a fitness level I can be proud of and am very determined to meet that 10km run target. I have dropped from a size 18/20 to a size 12/14 and I wore my bikini with pride on holiday for the first time this July
I first met Dan in January 2012 while Kiss Fitness were running Sturminster Newton Leisure Centre. I had returned to the gym after quite a few months. I was determined to do my own thing until I got to a certain level of fitness but, after a couple of weeks, Dan talked me in to following a programme specifically to improve my CV fitness and help with my determination to lose weight.
From the first day following Dan’s programme, I started to feel I was at last moving forward. Each time I visited the gym, I challenged myself and felt satisfied that with encouragement from Dan and Nikki, I had done my best and was getting the most from my workout. Dan regularly updated and changed my programme to keep me challenged, enjoying my sessions and working me harder as my fitness improved. I very soon felt real changes in my fitness level and it was fantastic when so many people noticed my changing shape.
When Dan and Nikki left the gym in Sturminster it was a blow to all of us. Having achieved so much with his guidance I decided to sign up for personal training sessions with Dan. I had every confidence that he would help me achieve my goals and keep me on the straight and narrow. After the initial consultation in May, we set my short term targets to aim for weight loss and toning prior to my holiday in July and a longer term target of a 10km charity run next year. How on earth did I agree to that one?!
Each personal training session I have had has been different and I actually look forward to rather than dread the sessions. I have to work very hard but in a strange sort of way it is fun, even when it rained for the whole hour of circuit style training! Dan knows just how much I can do, how far he can push me and encourages me all the way. If I try and slacken the pace, I get told to “stop winging and get on with it” but at the same time he will tell me when I am doing well.
Finances currently limit me to one session a month but in between sessions, Dan is continually updating the programme I follow at the gym, he monitors my weight loss through a food diary system and is always at the end of a phone or on email to keep up my motivation and encourage me all the way.

I can’t wait to buy my little black dress in a size 12 for this year’s Christmas parties. Thanks Dan, I couldn't have done this without you and I will continue to look forward to our sessions.
