Background
I studied Outdoor Recreation & Sport Science at university and after graduating in 2004 started my career like many, in local sports & leisure centres. I've been in the industry ever since working in local public authority private gyms & leisure centres. Developing on knowledge from university I qualified as a Personal Trainer with specific equipment training and a wealth of experience from lifeguard through to senior management. I also had the opportunity to volunteer at the London 2012 Olympic Games, supervising & assisting athletes at the fitness suite of the Weymouth & Portland venue where all the sailing events would take place as. I'm the also the co-founder and director of Kiss Fitness with entrepreneurial interests in Health & Fitness ventures.

In the last couple months I have lost weight, lost inches and fit into clothes I haven’t wore in years. Not only have I achieved my first goals but I feel so much happy and confident in myself and the way I look.

I am 20 years old and currently going through the process of applying / joining the RAF and my biggest concern is getting through the fitness test. As a result my mum told me about Kiss Fitness and Dan, and suggested hiring him as a personal trainer to help me get fitter and stronger for the fitness test. It started with a consultation where Dan asksd every question he needed to know in order to get me to achieve my goals, from that he then drew up a plan and we went from there.

Before I had my first session I was very nervous and apprehensive as I have never been very fit and activate before, however I loved it and still loving it now. Dan does not take it easy on you, and certainly pushes you to the point of exhaustion, but by doing this you most definitely see and feel the results. I’m am also attending bootcamp and TRX classes that Dan runs, these are great and if people want to get fitter but don’t fancy doing personal training then go to a kiss fitness class, they are fun and social and get your heart racing!! In the last couple months I have lost weight, lost inches and fit into clothes I haven’t wore in years. Not only have I achieved my first goals but I feel so much happy and confident in myself and the way I look. I love to get dolled up and go out now whereas before I’d just stay in and do nothing. It’s been so great that I have just booked another 20 personal training sessions with Dan. Dan doesn't just change you physically, he changes you mentally. Worth every penny and I would recommend to anyone! I am yet to do the fitness test however I am far more confident now than before and if I do pass it’s all down to Dan.

How I Became a Trainer

I have always instructed, taught or lead in my professional life from teaching swimming lessons, coaching kayaking and leading teams in fitness facilities. Personal Training came very naturally to me and I’ve been able to excel in my role as a Personal Trainer & Lifestyle Coach. I have been able to apply my Sports Science background to the biomechanics of exercise together with sound programming to enable my clients to achieve their fullest potential in a safe and progressive manner.
