Background
I studied Outdoor Recreation & Sport Science at university and after graduating in 2004 started my career like many, in local sports & leisure centres. I've been in the industry ever since working in local public authority private gyms & leisure centres. Developing on knowledge from university I qualified as a Personal Trainer with specific equipment training and a wealth of experience from lifeguard through to senior management. I also had the opportunity to volunteer at the London 2012 Olympic Games, supervising & assisting athletes at the fitness suite of the Weymouth & Portland venue where all the sailing events would take place as. I'm the also the co-founder and director of Kiss Fitness with entrepreneurial interests in Health & Fitness ventures.

I have dropped 2 dress sizes*, have so much more energy and have increased my fitness level significantly from where I started six months ago. Numerous friends and colleagues have commented on the change in my appearance over the past few months which have been a great confidence booster.

I first started training with Dan in May 2013 following a decision to lose weight, tone up and increase my overall fitness level. I have two training sessions with Dan every week, each lasting an hour. 

Before starting the personal training, Dan discussed my goals with me and prepared a tailor made programme for me to follow throughout my training and he regularly reviews this and monitors my progress to keep me on track.

No one training session with Dan is the same and they vary from Boxercise to resistance training to HIIT training and much more which certainly helps to keep my interest and motivation level high. I never thought I would say this but I actually look forward to my training sessions every week!

I am extremely grateful to Dan for his support, patience, good sense of humour, and his ability to keep me motivated over the last few months. Dan has the ability to push you to your limits in the training sessions (in a good way!) and although at times it is tough, you feel a real sense of achievement after each workout.

I would have no hesitations in recommending Dan to anyone out there looking to lose weight, tone up or simply looking to improve their fitness levels. I am so pleased that I made the decision to contact Kiss Fitness this summer. It really has changed my life for the better. How I Became a Trainer

I have always instructed, taught or lead in my professional life from teaching swimming lessons, coaching kayaking and leading teams in fitness facilities. Personal Training came very naturally to me and I’ve been able to excel in my role as a Personal Trainer & Lifestyle Coach. I have been able to apply my Sports Science background to the biomechanics of exercise together with sound programming to enable my clients to achieve their fullest potential in a safe and progressive manner.
